Trick or Treat?

Each Halloween we attend our wards trunk or treat. Kevin's family has come up for the last few years and this year we also had Karee and Kellee's families with us. (Kellee and Jon moved into our ward and Karee and Matt moved into a home a mile from our house. It has been so much fun!) So all the cousins went trick or treating together. Kevin and Paige are awesome to dress up. Maybe next year Rob and I will get costumes......maybe not. :)
This year Cambrie was a patient. The cast on her wrist made the costume. :)
Parker decided he wanted to be a pirate again.
Mykenna was a ballerina.

Cael was a cow.
The kids were so cute. Cael wanted to start eating his candy as soon as we left the first trunk. The cow head came off immediately and he just looked beat up the rest of the night.
After trick or treating we went to Karee's for a birthday party for Ryton. Pizza, cake and handing out their candy to the trick or treaters. It was a fun night!

Mykenna's Preschool Halloween Program

Mykenna attends Miss Julie's Preschool and loves it. For Halloween each year she has a Halloween Program were the kids sing songs for the parents and then have three activities. They decorated cookies, made a witch craft, and played halloween bingo. Here Mykenna and some of her classmates are singing five little pumpkins. Aren't they cute. She decided she wanted to be a ballerina this year. It made it easy finding a costume since she already had one for dress up.

Hair Blogs

I have had a few people ask me where I get ideas for my girls hairdos. Well, I am going to share my secret. I have now added all the wonderful hair blogs I visit on the right hand side of my blog. These ladies are very creative and I just copy their creations. It is so much fun! So go visit their blogs and have fun dolling up your little girls!

A Special Visitor!

Great Grandma Helen came to Utah for a visit and we were lucky enough to have her stay with us for 4 days. The visit included:

Lots of stories read to the kids

Breakfast together each morning.

Daily coloring with Mykenna

Pumpkin painting.

Playing in the backyard.

It was such a blessing to have her with us. She just turned 93 and is amazing! Thank you Grandma for the memories. We love you!

UEA Weekend!

After doing some yard work and house work on Thursday and Friday we decided to take a day trip into Wyoming to visit Grandma Alva. We got up early and right before we were ready to leave Kenna got sick. We made a quick call to Grandma Linda and she agreed to keep Kenna home with her while we still went for the day. We missed having her with us, but she was pampered by Grandma all day long. It is always a great time when we go to visit Grandma Alva. It is a welcome change of pace. We got into Cokeville and had lunch with her and visited for awhile. We then loaded the kids in the van and went up Pine Creek to enjoy the outdoors. They love to get out and skip rocks in the river and just get away from "the city". I of course love how beautiful it is and all the pictures I can take of the kids. We later went back and enjoyed some more time with Grandma and then left to return home.

Snow - Oh not yet!

Yep, we woke up to snow this morning. It was very pretty, but I was not ready for it. It actually started snowing the night before and as soon as the flakes started falling Mykenna and Parker were asking if they could go play in it. We told them they had to wait until there was some on the ground and so they patiently waited until this morning. So we quickly got the snow gear on and out they went. They had a great time with one another!

Off to the Pumpkin Patch!

(Cambrie broke her wrist, so that is why her arm is in her coat.)

We have made it a tradition to go to J & J Nursery each year with the Murphy's. This year we invited other members of Kim's family, so the Englands joined us. It was a chilly day, but we were determined to get our pumpkins, especially when they were free! It was raining and slightly snowing in South Weber, but when we got to J & J's the weather was holding. We hoped on the hayride and headed out to the field. It is great to watch the kids hunt for just the right pumpkin and the excitement when they found it! Now we are off to paint them and display them on the porch! (It was too cold for Cael, so he stayed nice and warm at home with Grandma Linda.)
