Washington D.C. Trip Day 1

We had a great time on our trip to D. C. We went with Kim's mom and Cokeville High School's senior class. There are 12 seniors and this was their senior sneak following graduation. We left on Friday morning and arrived that evening. We quickly took the kids on the metro to the Nation Mall to get them used to the metro system. It was beautiful to come out of the metro stop and the first thing you see is the Capitol building and the turn around and see the Washington Memorial. We saw a few sites and then went back to the hotel.

We had to get up bright and early the next morning to be at the White House for a tour at 8:30 a.m. Rob and I didn't get to go through because Wyoming's Congressman office didn't get enough tickets. We walked around and took pictures while the kids went through.

We then broke up into smaller groups and went back to the National Mall to see a couple of the Smithsonians. We had the four senior girls in our group and they were so much fun to get to know. We first went through the Museum of Natural History and then quickly through an Art Museum. It is crazy how big the museums are! You could spend a half a day or more in just one.

NEED TO GET THE KIDS TO BED. I WILL FINISH LATER.
