Swim Lessons

Mykenna and Parker have been taking swimming lessons this month. I know...we aren't going to have swimming weather anytime soon, but it was fun! Parker is always hesitant about new things and swim lessons wasn't any different. I was a little nervous about his instructor. But I ended up really liking her. He overcame a lot of fears. Mykenna just had fun being with her friend Kaitlyn Murphy and getting wet. I don't know how much she actually learned, but again it was fun. Here is some video and pics.

More Snow!

The pile of snow at the end of our cul-de-sac has become the spot for sledding. The kids have had a ball! Here are a few pics.

Our Spelling Bee :)

Cambrie was in the top 3 in her class spelling bee. She then advanced on to participate in a combined spelling bee of all the top 3 student in grades 3-6. (I know . . . I don't understand 3rd graders competing against 6th graders either.) There were I believe 50 total students. She did great! She advanced through 3 rounds and missed her 4th round word. The number of students left when she missed her word were 15. So we are very proud parents! Here is round 2. Sorry about the shaky picture. I was trying to video and keep Cael from wiggling out of my arms. (Just push the pause button on the black music box at the bottom of the blog to hear her.)

Snowed In!

We got 20 inches of snow today! This is our picnic table in our back yard. Crazy I know! The kids had a ball playing in it. They had to bring in the big construction equipment to help scoop everyone out. It was insane. They didn't get to our cul-de-sac until evening so unless you had four wheel drive you didn't go anywhere. I had to push my neighbor into our driveway because she couldn't get to her house at the end of the cul-de-sac. Rob started snowblowing the road so he could get our car into the driveway and as soon as he was almost finished here came the plow. :)

This is the kids coming from the bus stop. They were soaked by the time they got home. Yes, the snow is almost covering the mailboxes. Aren't they cute!

I stole this picture from my friend's blog! Thanks Patty, I hope you don't mind! This is the front loader that had to dig us out!
